Test Shoot. 07/05/2010
We're not in New York anymore, or Bowling Green. Right now I am posting this in Malibar, Florida! We are in The Sunshine State for Taylor's test shoot. It is for a movie filmed here in late July, and all of August, and September. She is one of the main characters in this Christian, family, movie. It is called Ryann Watters and The King's Sword. Heard of it?- The reason I ask is because it is a middle school book series. So, it will most likely be a series of movies also! Which will be great because Taylor loves the cast and crew of this movie. She got connected to this film because of her last movie (filmed this time last year). It has a great storyline and I am starting to read all the books. It will most likely travel through churches and schools in the United States (and will make a stop in Bowling Green if so). But my big announcement is this- It will go to all theaters in America when released!!! We are so happy! This is such big news!! Then, tomorrow we drive from here to Orlando so Taylor can speak at AMTC (Actors, Models, and Talent, for Christ. Or, the event she went to that really boosted her acting career when she first started it all). After the movie we plan to stay home 2 or 3 months- Which I am really excited about since going home is like going on vacation. After that we will go back to New York, but we are also starting to talk about trying Los Angeles in 2011. 2010 has flown by so far. I would say mainly because we are literally in a different city everyday! We are having so much fun! And I am glad I have now posted my big announcement! Once we get to AMTC I will problably post more, then won't until the movie later this month! I am so excited!!! I have no idea what's wrong with my blog editor, but it hasn't loaded at all in days. I guess today was the right day to write. :) Today me and dad took our bikes (which we took to New York with us) to Liberty State Park about ten minutes away. It's a huge park right next to Liberty Island and Ellis Island. Once we arrived, we rode around the whole park, down piers, through the New Jersey Marina and yacht club, pedaled down parking lots, through Jersey City and down it's streets, then stopped and rode a water taxi to Manhattan. Once there, in Manhattan, we rode through the South part of the island, or the Financial District. I rode down the streets, around Battery Park, and right by the new World Trade Center or Freedom Tower (Which is almost halfway built). We then rolled our bikes up to the World Financial Center Plaza next to the Freedom Tower to eat. After we ate, we rode more in the city and back to New Jersey on a Water Taxi. We rode more around the park, helped some people get their bike chain back on track, and called it a day as we rode our bikes back to the truck- joking about our fun day. Here are some pix. ![]() Riding down the bridge over the river in Liberty State Park looking at New York City. ![]() On the Water Taxi. Next Stop- New York City! ![]() After our ride through New York. Back in Liberty State Park. I've been everywhere with my new bike I got a few weeks ago! Kentucky, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Maryland, New Jersey, and New York. Uptown by Central Park and downtown in the Financial District. And- in Florida, Tennessee, and Georgia this Summer. Anywhoo, after we got back we told our stories to everyone, uploaded our pictures, then ate at Outback. Besides, I think I deserve Outback after riding my bike for more than twenty miles, right? :) -John Mikel Boswell New York, New York! 06/13/2010
We made it to New York! I am sitting in our hotel right now. I wish I had more time in Bowling Green before we left. Bowling Green is our home! I miss Bowling Green and everyone there so much!! It seems like going home is a vacation, being away all the time. Most people, after arriving at the hotel want to get in their room and relax after the 13 1/2 hour long drive. Except for us...we had to wait an hour for our door to be fixed because the key reader's battery was out. When the maintenance people left to get more tools to pry open the door, mom took the tools the employees left, broke the key thingy open, replaced the batteries, and put it back together. She said "she's fixed some doors in her day." Thats our mom! We then went to the new remodeled Walmart right next to our hotel. It was amazing! I've never been in a Walmart as good as that while in New Jersey! It was amazing! Sadly, it's in New Jersey and will be that way for a week. Unless it's on a rollback, then it will be trashed in about three days. It's nice to be able to sit down and watch television after riding in the car, about to go crazy for almost 14 hours! But on a serious note, I'm happy we made it safely and are happy in our hotel room. That's all I have to say for now... I'll keep you updated on auditions and all the other fun things we get to do here! One more thing- No, I have not forgotten my big announcement. I might be able to post it this week! Daily Bible Verse: "But our citizenship is in Heaven. And we eagerly await a Saviour from there, the Lord Jesus Christ." -Phillipians 3:20 -John Mikel Last Week... 06/05/2010
It's our last week in Bowling Green. We will be leaving sometime in the next few days. It feels like old times right now, because we have been home for about a month (a long time to be home for us :) haha). I am both excited and disappointed having to leave. I have so much fun here with my family, but I have a great time in New York blogging. I just wanted to let y'all know we are still in Bowling Green. I'll give you lots of updates this summer!! One last thing- I added a new poll and a countdown to the right. Daily Bible Verse: "I tell you, my friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body and after that can do no more. But I will show you whom you should fear: Fear him who, after the killing of the body, has the power to throw you into hell. Yes, I tell you, fear him."-Luke 12:4-5 Daily Bible Wisdom: You don't understand the Bible until you truly want it and pray about it. -John Mikel Summer, all the time! 06/02/2010

Have a good 2010 Summer! -John Mikel Boswell Disney World! 05/25/2010
We had so much fun in Disney World! We got back to Bowling Green about a week after my last blog. I got lots of Disney pins, got to go to all of the parks, and I rode my first rollercoaster! So much fun! I finally have found the look for my website I like! I love how it looks now and all the pages I added! I am really glad how it turned out this time! We leave week after next for New York. Then we will head to Florida for Taylor's movie. I can't wait!! Anybody watch the Space Shuttle launch a few weeks ago? I got to see it! It was so cool! We were eating at Steak and Shake in Florida and we went out to the parking lot with all the employees and customers and watched it! It was so awesome! All of a sudden, right on time, it blasted off and we saw it get above the clouds and slowly disappear! After that I called my friends and asked if they saw it on TV. I have a video of that and lots of pictures of Disney World! I'll edit this blog and post them later!! It seems like everyone is out of school but me! I'm really close to finishing though! I'm totally done in Language, Science, and History. And am almost done in Spanish, Bible, and Math! Summer is getting closer and closer! I think that's everything I had to say. Remember I'll try to post the video (if it will work) and I will post those pictures of Disney on this blog tonight! Daily Bible Verse: "Do not be yoked together with non-believers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness?" -2 Corinthians 6:14 -John Mikel Boswell P.S.- My big announcement: Can not be posted yet :) The Sunshine State! 05/11/2010
New York, Bowling Green, Florida, Bowling Green, New York, Florida...as you can tell there are too many places to be at once! Currently we are in Bowling Green though, and have been since my last blog. But, tomorrow night we are driving to Florida!! The movie Taylor booked this summer in Florida is getting closer! So, before they film this July and August, they want Taylor to come down and meet with the cast and crew. Infact, they want her there to help with the casting! Fun that we get to go down there and all, but...the best part of the trip- Disney World! Yay!! I love Disney World!! It's gonna be so much fun! That's my favorite vacation ever! Last time we went for a week in January '09 after Taylor won Grand Overall Actress at AMTC. I really am excited and wish it would be Saturday already (our first day at Disney). My favorite part of Disney World is trading pins! I love Disney pins! Next week at Disney I'll blog when I can and tell you everything that has happened! I'll also blog about the meeting with the movie cast and crew! You have to read my blog next week, because I have big news! Problably the biggest news ever given out on my website!! So keep reading and see what the big announcement is! Daily Bible Verse: "When pride comes, then comes disgrace, but with humility comes wisdom." -Proverbs 11:2 -John Mikel New look. 04/19/2010
Hey guys!! Just wanted to give a quick update and say we are still home and will go to New York in just a few weeks. No more big auditions lately or much to tell. But to get ready for our next trip to New York, I changed my website's looks and added a new poll. :) Daily Bible Verse: Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and shun evil. This will bring health to your body and nourishment to your bones. Proverbs 3:7-8. More blogs coming soon! - John Mikel Boswell II Familiar Smell. 04/06/2010
Sadly the familiar smell is New Jersey!! Just kidding! It smells good. It brings back so many memories of being here. So you can already tell that we are in New Jersey again!! I'm so happy we made it! I really, truly, didn't mind the car ride at all. It was kinda nice. We could keep the very back seat up the whole time. I rode back there most of the time. Its nice that we don't have to have stuff overflowing on us now. We think its a such a big thing to have AC in the car. Lol! We haven't had it for a month or longer in the old car. Back to the luggage, it won't be so bad in the summer because we don't have to bring coats. Its nice around this time of year because all we need is a really, really light jacket. I'm happy we are here, but will be glad to be home again next week. Taylor has lots of auditions lined up this week. 4 to be exact. I'll give you the details later. This Friday I'm gonna try to be one of the first 2,000 people to cram into Carlo's Bakery for cupcake day if we are still here. Last year he had cannoli day. And the first 2,000 people who got in personally recieved a cannoli from Buddy. This year its the cupcake remix!! Me and Dad are going to an auto show, too. Last year I couldn't go because I was so sick! It was terrible. Hopefully I won't feel too bad to go this year. I am actually feeling a whole lot better now than a few days ago- Thanks Dr. B!! Comment please. -John Mikel Boswell Quack quack. 04/05/2010
So, the period of time I haven't been blogging is the time we have been home. Lots has happened. Time to play catch up.... I got ducks. We are going to put them out on the farm. For about a week they will stay at our house. I got sixteen of them (Fred, Annebelle, Matthew, Buddy Valastro, Albert, and Jasper) I haven't named all of them. Jasper is Taylors duck. Thats her favorite boy name. I was going to be named Jasper John if not John Mikel. Then if I was a girl I was going to be named Montgomery. Anyway, its just another animal added to the zoo. Valentine is doing really good. She has her permanent cage set up in my room. We got a new car. Its a white, 2010 extra long expedition. It has like a billion little gadgets in it. I really like it. It has lots of room. We got a new one since our old was...getting old I guess...Lol. The air conditioner went out, too. Taylor is really close to booking a movie. She did really good! They are trying to get her booked as the main character. It films in Arkansas. She is still going to film the one in Florida in June and July. All four of us are going. We will all go if she books the one in New Zealand, too. Taylor turns 16 in one week I think. Her birthday is on 4-14-94. She was born on a Thursday night. Her idea for a sweet sixteen party is a huge food fight with her family and a few friends. Lol! She says she dosen't really care if she gets a car. Easter was fun! We went to the farm, rode on the gators to the middle of the field and read the Easter story. Then we had an Easter egg hunt. Taylor got about $20.00 in her eggs. And lots of candy. She also got an egg that said 'No money for you!' on a note. Haha. I got about $300.00 in my eggs. Real productive Easter.... We have to go back this week though. For a nick audition. Just for a week though...We think. We may look for a place in the city this time. We have lots to do while we are home. We crammed a dentist appointment in with everything else. Taylor went, too. Sadly, I didn't get to go to the prize table :( Haha. I'm sick on top of everything else. Yayy. On April Fools Day I beat on the stairs and fake cried so everyone thought I fell. I put a fake thumb on that looks like I broke it back. I was waving it around so nobody knew. Haha. I fooled Dad pretty good. :) Thats all. New poll added, too. -John Mikel Boswell II |
