Tons to tell...... 11/06/2009
Hi guys! I haven't blogged in a while now, but I have tons to tell. A few days ago we went to the Intrepid and the new USS New York. The Intrepid is the huge boat that is on the 'I am Legend' movie (starring Will Smith). If you have ever seen that movie, it is in the part when Will Smith is shooting golf balls off the boat. Anyway, we bought tickets and went inside. It was so cool! We saw a huge submarine that you could walk through. So, we did and it was really neat. It was really huge! Once we got out of the submarine, we saw a Concorde. I always wanted to walk through one of those, but they retired them back in 2003. A Concorde is a very funny looking airplane. They designed it to be the fastest flying airliner ever. While other commercial jets fly at about 570 mph, the Concorde could go about 1,500 mph! They can get you to London and Paris from New York in about two hours. We saw the cockpit, cabins, and a few other parts of the plane. After we got done with it, we went to the top of the boat where the fighter jets are. They had all kinds of them. I got my picture made with the one Will Smith was on. It was really cool. Next, we went to the bridge of the ship (where the sailors stay). I sat in the Captain's seat. Then we walked into some rooms where they would sleep and stuff. After that, we went to the gift shop. I bought a propeller thing that flies, a Concorde picture, and some of these little airplanes that I collect. Then, we left and walked a few feet and boarded the USS New York. So cool! They had tanks that you could get your picture on, and a lot of other things like helicopters and a few smaller planes. I got a 'bag-O-free stuff'. Yesterday, we went to the city for a couple of auditions for Taylor. One was a VO and the other was for a short film. Dad and I waited in the huge lobby of the place where the VO audition was held. That was the place with the bad elevator that dad and Taylor was stuck in last week! Me and dad watched people get on and off them. Mom and Tay got on it again! Today, we are going to Taylor's manager for a meeting, then to a mall to shop, and then Dad will take Taylor into the city for a commercial audition. Now.... I am caught up with my blogging! My answer to my last riddle was guessed correctly by Dadaw House and Randy! The answer was, you throw a ball up in the air. Good guesses guys! My riddle today is, "It has been around for millions of years, but it is no more than a month old. What is it?" Dadaw House Sat, 07 Nov 2009 6:18:49 pm Hey John, Its is so wonderful that you are getting to see all the things you see like the USSNY that would be so interesting to get to do. I would have loved to have walked though the Concorde with you I remember when it first started flying which is longer ago that I thought it was.that is so neat, you all are making great memories together. Love you around the world and back again a million times over. Dadaw B Comments are closed. |
