We made it to New York! I am sitting in our hotel right now. I wish I had more time in Bowling Green before we left. Bowling Green is our home! I miss Bowling Green and everyone there so much!! It seems like going home is a vacation, being away all the time.
Most people, after arriving at the hotel want to get in their room and relax after the 13 1/2 hour long drive. Except for us...we had to wait an hour for our door to be fixed because the key reader's battery was out. When the maintenance people left to get more tools to pry open the door, mom took the tools the employees left, broke the key thingy open, replaced the batteries, and put it back together. She said "she's fixed some doors in her day." Thats our mom!
We then went to the new remodeled Walmart right next to our hotel. It was amazing! I've never been in a Walmart as good as that while in New Jersey! It was amazing! Sadly, it's in New Jersey and will be that way for a week. Unless it's on a rollback, then it will be trashed in about three days.
It's nice to be able to sit down and watch television after riding in the car, about to go crazy for almost 14 hours! But on a serious note, I'm happy we made it safely and are happy in our hotel room.
That's all I have to say for now... I'll keep you updated on auditions and all the other fun things we get to do here!
One more thing- No, I have not forgotten my big announcement. I might be able to post it this week!

John Mikel,
Just getting ready to close my computer down and got your post. I'm so glad to hear your mom is in charge of the door situation. She is the original "door buster"...Great story to tell over and over. I wanted to let you know that I framed your postcard tonight and put it in my "sewing/art studio"....I will be looking at it everytime I'm creating.
Thanks so much for thinking of me while you are so far away. (it is actually humbling)
I just finished watching the first show of Desgin Star on HGTV. It is filming (or was filming) in NYC. I'm not sure if any shows will be live this season (in past seasons the public voted for the winner in the last two shows). Anyway, it would be great to see some of that show.
Take care and thanks for the words of great wisdom (bible verses). I love being able to imagine what is going on with you and your family through your blog!
Stay safe!
