New look. 04/19/2010
Hey guys!! Just wanted to give a quick update and say we are still home and will go to New York in just a few weeks. No more big auditions lately or much to tell. But to get ready for our next trip to New York, I changed my website's looks and added a new poll. :) Daily Bible Verse: Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and shun evil. This will bring health to your body and nourishment to your bones. Proverbs 3:7-8. More blogs coming soon! - John Mikel Boswell II Familiar Smell. 04/06/2010
Sadly the familiar smell is New Jersey!! Just kidding! It smells good. It brings back so many memories of being here. So you can already tell that we are in New Jersey again!! I'm so happy we made it! I really, truly, didn't mind the car ride at all. It was kinda nice. We could keep the very back seat up the whole time. I rode back there most of the time. Its nice that we don't have to have stuff overflowing on us now. We think its a such a big thing to have AC in the car. Lol! We haven't had it for a month or longer in the old car. Back to the luggage, it won't be so bad in the summer because we don't have to bring coats. Its nice around this time of year because all we need is a really, really light jacket. I'm happy we are here, but will be glad to be home again next week. Taylor has lots of auditions lined up this week. 4 to be exact. I'll give you the details later. This Friday I'm gonna try to be one of the first 2,000 people to cram into Carlo's Bakery for cupcake day if we are still here. Last year he had cannoli day. And the first 2,000 people who got in personally recieved a cannoli from Buddy. This year its the cupcake remix!! Me and Dad are going to an auto show, too. Last year I couldn't go because I was so sick! It was terrible. Hopefully I won't feel too bad to go this year. I am actually feeling a whole lot better now than a few days ago- Thanks Dr. B!! Comment please. -John Mikel Boswell Quack quack. 04/05/2010
So, the period of time I haven't been blogging is the time we have been home. Lots has happened. Time to play catch up.... I got ducks. We are going to put them out on the farm. For about a week they will stay at our house. I got sixteen of them (Fred, Annebelle, Matthew, Buddy Valastro, Albert, and Jasper) I haven't named all of them. Jasper is Taylors duck. Thats her favorite boy name. I was going to be named Jasper John if not John Mikel. Then if I was a girl I was going to be named Montgomery. Anyway, its just another animal added to the zoo. Valentine is doing really good. She has her permanent cage set up in my room. We got a new car. Its a white, 2010 extra long expedition. It has like a billion little gadgets in it. I really like it. It has lots of room. We got a new one since our old was...getting old I guess...Lol. The air conditioner went out, too. Taylor is really close to booking a movie. She did really good! They are trying to get her booked as the main character. It films in Arkansas. She is still going to film the one in Florida in June and July. All four of us are going. We will all go if she books the one in New Zealand, too. Taylor turns 16 in one week I think. Her birthday is on 4-14-94. She was born on a Thursday night. Her idea for a sweet sixteen party is a huge food fight with her family and a few friends. Lol! She says she dosen't really care if she gets a car. Easter was fun! We went to the farm, rode on the gators to the middle of the field and read the Easter story. Then we had an Easter egg hunt. Taylor got about $20.00 in her eggs. And lots of candy. She also got an egg that said 'No money for you!' on a note. Haha. I got about $300.00 in my eggs. Real productive Easter.... We have to go back this week though. For a nick audition. Just for a week though...We think. We may look for a place in the city this time. We have lots to do while we are home. We crammed a dentist appointment in with everything else. Taylor went, too. Sadly, I didn't get to go to the prize table :( Haha. I'm sick on top of everything else. Yayy. On April Fools Day I beat on the stairs and fake cried so everyone thought I fell. I put a fake thumb on that looks like I broke it back. I was waving it around so nobody knew. Haha. I fooled Dad pretty good. :) Thats all. New poll added, too. -John Mikel Boswell II It's time for shorts! 03/21/2010
It is really hot outside! It was 80 degrees! There was a record set! Usually, I would be used to that, or even higher, but I haven't been in Bowling Green in forever! It's like one-hundred degrees to me now! Yesterday I wore two t-shirts and jeans and was burning up! I ended up with one shirt tied around my waist. Sometime in the next few days we have to go buy some spring clothes. We didn't know we would stay three months, or all through winter into Spring! We are coming home one day this week! I promise this time!Hopefully early in the week, I miss you all so much! We can't come home monday though, because Taylor is doing another print ad. Remember a few months ago when she did a print ad for Epiduo? The acne cream? Well, they called back and said they wanted her again because her face was so clear. We went to a museum that had lots of animals the other day. it was so much fun! There was one guy in there that was so cute, I felt sorry for the fella because he wanted out :( he was so cute he was picture adding worthy. The museum had some huge turtles, they were slow obviously. They reminded me of a friend...... I guess that is all that has happened lately. And about the Apprentice, last week wasn't mine or Taylor's episode. It will be tonight. Remember we might be cut out, so we don't know if we will be on or not. So, tonight at 8:00pm (BG time) Turn it to NBC. If you miss it, they should have it online maybe. I knew who would be fired last week because I didn't see that lady at the event place. The lights kept flickering on and off because they kept losing power. And I saw a sneak peak of this episode, and they kept talking about losing power. So, that was around the time I was there. I should be in that part of the episode. -John Mikel Boswell Miscellaneous Blog! 03/15/2010
Bleh. I just lost my whole blog. Ok, now. Let me start over..... First let me just say TAYLOR BOOKED A MOVIE! Yay! She booked it through her connections she made in the Bahamas. This movie films in Florida. Between Tampa and Orlando. Me and Taylor plan to visit Disney World. :) Film time: June-July. It is a christian movie. Taylor went on a audition for a movie. And her manager called us and said that in all his ten years doing his job, he has never heard better feedback than what these people said. She hasn't booked it, but her manager says she has a huge chance! This movie however, films in New Zealand! When we fly there, we have to fly from Nashville to Los Angeles (7 hour long flight) Then from LA to Sydney (14/2 hour long flight) Then from Sydney to New Zealand (2 hour flight). That plus the time in airports will be over a day of flying and waiting. We will have to fly on a 747 or an a380. I really would like to fly on a a380 plane. :) We are gonna go home really soon! Oh! Also, we were in Target a few days ago and all the lights went out, at night! No emergency lights or ANYTHING! It was crazy! It was kinda cool though. It was pitch black. Tonight we went to Target. Dad walked into the womens bathroom. And the night when the lights went out, he was dragging a caution wet floor sign with the cart and didn't know it. Haha. It was hilarious. We said you need to get something heavy, and throw it as hard as you can over the cash registers, or the main part of the store when the lights go out. Haha. A gallon of milk would be good for that. That same night I took a lady's cart and didn't know it. Lol. Dad looked at me and said "Ummmm.... John thats not our cart." And I didn't think much about it and stopped the cart where it was. Until I heard a woman say "Where's my cart?" Then I ran down some aisles and hid. Lol. I had lots to tell in my blog tonight! :) Thats all! -John Mikel Boswell Apprentice! Tonight! 03/14/2010
Hey guys! I gotta write this blog fast and get an email out in time! The Apprentice that me and Taylor filmed in airs tonight, on nbc. So, at 8pm Bowling Green time (Central Time Zone) turn it to nbc. I do not know if we will be on there or not, but me and Taylor did sign release forms a few months ago when we filmed. We haven't been doing much lately. We will come home in a week maybe. - John Mikel Boswell P.S.- If you miss the Apprentice, you might be able to watch it at www.nbc.com. If you can, I will write a blog later and put a link to the episode. MoMA! 03/12/2010
Yesterday me, mom, and dad went to the Museum of Modern Art. Me and Dad went there about a year ago, but the exhibits are always changing. And we brought mom, too. We are members now. So later we will bring Taylor back with us. Here is some artwork that is in the museum. These are some of my favorite things in the museum. Its a lot of the weird, modern, sculptures. We had lots of fun. This is just a little of the museum. Its huge! Later, we left and picked up Taylor from her class and went to the hotel. Right now Taylor is on a huge movie audition. It will film this April and May in New Zealand. Its a huge movie, too! She's great at her script and has a good feeling about this one. Please pray for her, because she just walked into the audition. -John Mikel Boswell P.S.- New Poll. Da Peas! 03/10/2010
Hey guys! Well, today we went to the city for Taylor. She got a callback for a commercial. Yay! Go Tay! Then we rode the subway back from her audition and got a salad. The day before we saw a stage set up on Times Square and wondered what it was. So, we walked to Times Square to see if they were doing anything with it. We asked a police officer, and she said it was a commercial filming for Samsung and the Black Eyed Peas were performing for it. So, they needed a crowd for the commercial so we all got in it. But, dad and Taylor were lucky enough to get VIP passes. So they got front row, centered in the front of the stage. Me and mom got side seats in the front row. Two hours later, they finally started filming. James Cameron came out on stage and introduced them! It was so cool. They came out and performed three songs. Times Square was so crowded. When they were performing, Taylor sang along and will.i.am gave her a thumbs up. Then Dad took a picture and Fergie smiled! And Fergie kept pointing at Taylor. Then later, Jaime Luis Gómez took his iPhone out, while performing, and took my picture! So cool! The beat was so loud! The ground was shaking and Dad and Tay was right in front of a speaker and it was shaking their clothes! Lol. Tay said to dad, you might wanna hold your ears, the beat is gonna be loud! And dad said, I have been to Rock and Roll concerts, I've already got my ears blown out. Haha. Taylor said ok, but this beat is louder than anything else. Haha. Dad didn't hold his ears, but he can't hear as it is. Lol. Later we waited on the intersection close by, and they closed the whole intersection so Fergie could pull out in her limo. It was all so cool! Here is some videos and pictures! I have another video, but it won't upload. It's a cool one, the camera keeps flashing and messing up because of the beat. I got really close to their limos! Fergies license plate said Diva. Hahaha. Oh! By the way, I go way back with the Peas, I knew them when they were just the pods! -John Mikel Boswell Dunkin' Donuts Catastrophe! 03/08/2010
If I was still doing categories on my blog this one would go down with the cvs fiasco about a year ago. In fact the cvs fiasco occured on March 9th. Must be something with that date....Anywhoo (I just said that to annoy sista. Haha.) you can get to the cvs blog by clicking this link. http://www.johnmikel.com/1/archives/03-2009/2.html and scrolling down to March 9th, 2009. Ok, here is where the fiasco that happened today started..... Me and dad were going to the post office to mail some packages. I was riding my scooter and dad was walking. Already a big mistake after we knew we were getting food for everyone. Haha. There is a Subway (the restaurant) and a Dunkin' Donuts combined down in the shopping center. So dad went to Subway while I went to DD. My friend Montu was working there. I go there all the time so I know everyone's name. :) I got to the register and I said I need one medi- and Montu said "Medium Iced Coffee?!" So I said "Yeah." And he was walking off to make one and he asked me a question. I don't know if he said "Cream and Sugar?!" or "Grill Cheese?!" (Because I always get a grilled cheese, too.) So after trying to think of what he said I said yes. Lol. So immediately I don't know what I even ordered. So he later came and sat down an overflowing iced coffee. OVERFLOWING. So I brought it over to a counter where all the straws, napkins, and that stuff was. So I wiped and dried it up as much as I could. But I sloshed it all over the counter and down the sides and on the floor. You know how when you are in a place with background noise and you hear voices and music, but there is always one voice that just goes louder than all other voices, or maybe just a little baby screaming? Yes, well I heard a woman behind me say in spanish "Messa, Messa." Whatever that means. Haha. I will look it up later. So remember I had my scooter, I rolled it beside me over to subway and told dad I got my food. I sloshed my iced coffee all over their floor. So dad got napkins and wiped it up off the floor and told me to drink the iced coffee down some. Our joke is now I guess I forgot I had a straw because I tilted it back like I was about to drink it and spilled it on me. Hahaha. So, I rolled my scooter through the puddle I made on the floor when it spilled over on me. And proceeded to roll it across the restaurant. It then left a path across the whole place. Once I got to the 'clean up counter' I wiped it off me. And noticed I left a trail. Dad said that he could trail where I went. So I looked across the restaraunt, and dad is bent down on the floor with napkins sliding them down the trail. So when he gets to the counter he looks at the mess I left. You know, the coffee, spilling down the counter. So he says "Have you been over here?" I said "Yes." and he says "I can tell" Hahaha. So he cleans that up, runs over to pick up the Subway sandwiches and we left. So joking about it the whole way back, we have to go in another restaurant. Ahhh! So, we rolled into Cosi and dad got a sandwich and put it into the Subway back and we left. And we went back to the hotel. We had lots of stories to tell. Funny stories. It will go down in history. It will be one of those special, inside joke, life story things. :) Dad said next time he will just bring a mop. Lol. Oh, and yesterday we were going to the post office and a lady stopped me and dad in her car, she was talking half in spanish and she said "Where is the coffee convention?" Because there is a convention center next to our hotel. I was standing a few feet from her car and I thought she said "Coffee Shop?" And there is also a starbucks next to our hotel. So I ran to her car, and screamed "Starbucks?!" After I realized what she was talking about I walked off dying laughing. Well, that is all that has happened today so far. Dad and Taylor just walked out the door to go to an audition. We will be leaving maybe this weekend or next week. I'm so homesick! I miss you all so much! - John Mikel Boswell P.S.- New poll added. Valentine, Snow, and Auditions! 03/03/2010
There has been more snow storms since my last blog. And it has been plowed into giant piles. It is so cool. I've always wanted to climb the piles. And I did! Here are some pictures! I tried to add a video of valentine, but it won't let me. So, she is doing really good right now. Our original plan was to go home this weekend, but we have to stay for a few more weeks because Taylor got a callback from Disney. Which is huge! I'll let you all know if she gets anymore callbacks/auditions. -John Mikel |
